Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere believes the Gunners attacking options can give them the edge in the title race this season.
Santi Cazorla scored twice in the second half to hand the north Londoners a 2-0 win over Fulham to keep them top of the table on Saturday.
Wilshere, who has chipped in with five goals himself, feels that having multiple sources of goals is crucial for any team looking to challenge for trophies.
“There’s been a few players this season [who have scored], myself included,” Wilshere said. “I’ve got a few more than I usually do and Aaron Ramsey got a lot more than he usually does and then you have Lukas Podolski, who nearly scored today
“It’s good to have goals in your team and hopefully we can continue that.
“We go into every game knowing we’re going to create chances. That’s our strong point, we know we’re going to be able to score goals. It’s just a matter of putting the ball in the back of the net and being tight at the back. We’ve done that this season and hopefully we can continue that.
“Santi came up with the goods and we’re still top of the league so we’ve got good confidence going into the next game and we’ll look forward now.
Arsenal cruised past Fulham and maintained their grip on the lead of the Premier League. It was at times an untidy game, but the Gunners were able to kick the game into a higher gear when they needed.
Santi Cazorla finally opened the scoring in the second half, pouncing on a Wilshere cross and putting Arsenal ahead and then scored a second minutes later. From that point the Gunners were able to take their foot off the pedal.
Next up for Arsenal will be a FA Cup game against Coventry on Friday night.
