Wenger confirm Wilshere will not leave Arsenal and will play on Monday

Arsene Wenger has provided the latest on Jack Wilshere’s contract situation at Arsenal following numerous reports that he is set to leave the Emirates stadium this summer.

On whether Jack’s future is here for the final year of his contract, Wenger said:

“At the moment, yes. I think I plan for him to be here for the whole season, after we will see at the end of the season.”
The boss also confirmed that Wilshere will be making his return to action very soon:
“Well, for him it’s good that he’s back and available. I think he needs games now.”
“He might play again on Monday night but overall, what is important for him is the natural progression to be completely fit. He is not far away now.”

  1. Paul Merson said that Wilshere would definitely be leaving and that Arsenal were stupid for letting that happen, as he is our single best player. Gosh, and here I was thinking that that fat, stupid alcoholic actually knew what he was talking about!

    Pundits should stick to talking only in hindsight, because they reveal themselves to be the clueless twats, that they are, when they try anything else.
