Szczesny: We’ve got a difficult run but we’re looking forward to it

SzczesnyArsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has claimed that the squad is feeling positive ahead of a tricky run of fixtures.

The Gunners face Liverpool in the Premier League and the FA Cup this month, while they also take on Manchester United in the Premiership and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Polish international has insisted that they are welcoming the challenge of a vital set of fixtures, especially as they are currently on top of the Premier League table.

“We’re looking at it as a chance to create an even bigger gap between us and the teams behind us. We’re looking forward to it and I hope we can show people what we’re made of,” Szczesny told

“We’ve got a difficult run but we’re looking forward to it. It’s good to be around the top but right now what we care about right now is being top at the end of May. It really doesn’t matter to us now.”

“We’ve got hard games, but every single game in the Premier League is difficult at the moment – there are no weaker teams.”

“I’m looking forward to the big games, every player looks forward to games against big opponents and world class players. We’re looking forward to it.”

It’s a big month for the Gunners and it remains to be seen whether we can show what we can do against the big boys. We’ve proven in some games we can get the result but this period in particular is vital for our season.

Arsenal will play Liverpool on Saturday with a two point cushion over title rivals Chelsea and Manchester City, and they can make a giant step towards the Premiership trophy by winning at Anfield.
