Arsenal vs Chelsea
English Premier League
Date: Tuesday, 3 January 2018
Kick-Off: 19:45 UK
Venue: Emirates Stadium (London).

Chelsea will come into the London derby with Arsenal high on confidence after hammering Stoke City 5-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues thus took advantage of Man Utd’s third consecutive slip up to jump over the Red Devils and climb up to the second place in the Premier League standings ahead of the trip to Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will be desperate to prove they have what it takes to stay competitive to the Premier League heavyweights as they have mainly dropped points in clashes with the top four sides so far in the season. Arsene Wenger’s men did manage to earn a draw in a six-goal thriller against Liverpool in mid-December and they’ve shown another high-scoring display on Thursday when the Gunners bagged three goals in a 2-3 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The man to look after is Alexis Sanchez who completed a brace with two beautiful goals at Selhurst Park. The Chilean winger has thus taken his league tally to seven goals and there are no doubts he’ll be motivated top show his class and confirm the nice spell of form against the reigning champions on Wednesday.

Chelsea have, however, been fairly tough to break down lately and they’ll come into this after keeping four clean sheets on the bounce in the Premier League. Willian is the player who enjoys the best shape at the moment. The Brazilian midfielder has been the main creator for Conte’s side on Saturday setting up two and netting one of five goals against the Potters.
