Arsenal are in a fresh move for Juventus star defender Daniele Rugani, according to 101greatgoals.
The 23-year-old central defender is regarded as one of Europe’s most gifted defenders and has also established himself as a regular in Italy’s International setup.
Rugani was subject of a move by Arsenal under Arsene Wenger in the last two transfer windows, as the former Gunners boss tried to sign him on both occasions but failing.
Unai Emery already concluded one deal with Juventus this summer for their right back Stephan Lichtsteiner and is about to make another offer for the former Empoli youngster.
The Spaniard has focused interest in a revamp of The Gunners defense during the period of the transfer window.
Despite impressing both Internationally and club level, Rugani has often found game time hard to come by at the Juventus stadium, with presence of more experienced Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and rejuvenated Medhi Benatia at the club. As such, Rugani has been linked to a possible departure from Serie A Champions.
Arsenal are ready to present an offer to Juventus, but reports from Davide Torchia’s interview with Tuttojuve burns all hopes surrounding a successful transfer of Rugani from Juventus. He said; “It’s been a very positive season for Daniele.”
“He’s played more than 1000 minutes in the League and made 6 appearances in all competitions including 25 as a starter.”
“Juventus have always considered him unsellable and have never considered selling him.”
“The club are very satisfied, they have great respect for the lad and don’t want to deprive themselves of his football qualities.”
