Liverpool Doing Everything to Sign Key Arsenal Man to Replace Andrew Massey

Arsenal News HQ brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the World.

Arsenal are facing the very real prospect of losing their top doctor, Gary O’Driscoll, to Liverpool but are desperately trying to keep him at the club.

Liverpool are looking to replace their own medical chief, Andrew Massey, who is heading for a job with FIFA. Arsenal’s O’Driscoll, widely regarded as one of the best in the business, is said to be leading their list of candidates.

Having formerly worked with the Ireland and British Lions rugby teams, O’Driscoll has been with Arsenal since the start of 2009.

It’s not hard, though, to see why Liverpool would be a much more attractive proposition at present, what with them being the best team in Europe.

In their exclusive report, the Daily Mail claim that a number of staff who remained at the club after the great post-Wenger cull of 2018 are less than impressed with how their sacked colleagues were treated.

They don’t say directly that is why O’Driscoll is considering leaving, but you can clearly read below it’s what they want you to believe:

The 49-year-old, who was born in Manchester, was heavily involved in helping to design Arsenal’s medical facilities.

O’Driscoll is also considered an anti-doping expert.
