Kieran Tierney Sends Message to Arsenal Fans Reaching Out to Him

Kieran Tierney sent a message of thanks to the Arsenal fans after suffering another injury setback on Monday night.

Kieran Tierney went off in the first half of Arsenal’s win against West Ham on Monday. Worryingly, he left the pitch with a makeshift sling for his right arm. The left-back then had to go to hospital, where they confirmed a dislocated shoulder.

Tierney now reportedly faces surgery and a possible three-month absence. The news obviously upset Arsenal fans, and they sent messages of support to their summer signing in the aftermath of the game.

The 22-year-old responded on Twitter that he’s very grateful for the response.

With Tierney out, Arsenal only really have Sead Kolasinac as a full-time senior left-back. Tolaji Bola and Zech Medley have both played the position in youth football, but they have next to no experience in the first team.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is another option. With Hector Bellerin’s injury problems and Calum Chambers’ inconsistent performances at full-back, however, Maitland-Niles is just as important on the right as Kolasinac on the left.

Arsenal could certainly do with a speedy return from Tierney. If he is out for three months, they may need to look at left-back loan deals in January.
