Jack Wilshere has dropped a huge hint that he may not be at Arsenal after the winter transfer window.

The midfielder who is into the final months of his contract is yet to be offered a new one by Arsenal.

His injury troubles have placed him in a delicate situation as Arsenal want him to show he can stay fit for majority of the season before offering him an extension.

The fact that he isn’t even featuring regularly for the club hints he may have no future at the club.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, Wilshere has revealed he will hold talks with Wenger before deciding whether to leave the club in January.

“I’ve said before that I want to stay here and play,” the midfielder said, reports Goal

“I’ve been at this club for 10 years. I don’t have to say how much this club means to me, how good they have been to me.

“But, at the same time, the boss has got to be honest with me and I’m sure he will.

“I think we will have to talk about that [leaving in January] when it comes down to it.

“We have got a month until then, and me and the boss will probably have a conversation before then and see what happens because obviously when January comes I have only got six months left on my contract.

“We have known each other for long enough and we have a good relationship where we can be honest with each other so I’m sure we will be and then we will go from there.”

Wilshere has made 165 appearances for Arsenal since making his debut in 2008. The Arsenal academy product was tipped to become one of England’s greatest midfielders but injuries have been a huge stumbling block to his career.
