“I can’t say that nothing will happen this summer” Agent of unhappy Arsenal forward refuse to deny shock transfer rumours

Arsenal News HQ brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.

Olivier Giroud’s agent Micheal Manuello has rejected claims that the striker would be joining Marseille this summer.

The French outfit has reportedly made Giroud their number one target this summer but it does seem like the player has no interest in moving back to France.

It was recently claimed that Marseille boss Rudi Garcia has opened talks with the player to discuss a move but Manuello has now denied any knowledge of Garcia’s approach.

Giroud’s agent made this claim in an interview with Le Figaro.

“It’s a lie, there’s nothing going on between the player and Marseille,” Manuello said as quoted by The Daily Cannon.

“I can’t say that nothing will happen this summer, but currently, it’s not a topic of discussion”.

The striker is, understandably unhappy with his current situation at the Emirates. He has found himself out of the starting xi on several occasions due to the superb form of Alexis Sanchez upfront.

However, he’s spoken of his desire to win his place in the squad and I believe he will still be with us next season.

Giroud signed a new contract with Arsenal in January and that should erase any concern that he will be allowed to leave this summer.

Although, Arsenal plan to buy a world class striker this summer, I don’t think it will be enough to force Giroud out of the Emirates.
