AC Milan have turned down the chance to sign Theo Walcott, according to reports in Italy.

Prior to the commencement of the transfer window, Milan were reported to be interested in the winger. However it seem a move will not be happening,

According to popular Italian tabloid Calciomercato, Walcott is desperate for a fresh start and wants to leave the Emirates this winter.

He is keen to savage his chances of making Gareth Southgate’s world cup squad and knows the only way to do that is to be playing regularly. He was subsequently offered to Milan but the Rossoneri have turned down the offer.

Milan are not planning to strengthen their attack this month, ruling out the possibility of signing Walcott.

The Italians also have concerns about the winger’s wage demands as they don’t have the financial capability to pay that much.

Walcott hasn’t started a Premier League game for Arsenal this season but has featured prominently in the cup games.

Against Chelsea last week, he played just three minutes, and prior to that he featured for just two minutes against Liverpool.

The winger has about a year and a half left in his contract and there’s no sign of a new deal forthcoming. It does look like his time at the club is up but it won’t be easy convincing Wenger to sell him this winter, maybe in the summer.
