Good News: Arsenal Confirm THREE Injury Boost Ahead of Sheffield Utd match

Arsenal News HQ brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the World.

Emile Smith Rowe is available on Monday and Alexandre Lacazette might be, but Reiss Nelson is out until November at the earliest.

Arsenal have provided their latest injury update on the first-team squad, confirming that Smith Rowe is back on schedule after a clash of heads against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.

Lacazette is also ‘progressing well’, but there haven’t been any decisions made on whether he’ll be available for Sheffield United.

The striker was held back from the behind-closed-doors friendly against Reading over the international break, and we get the sense Arsenal are being cautious with him. With such a busy schedule coming up, there’s no reason to use him in the next game unless he’s fully fit.

Unfortunately, the news on Reiss Nelson isn’t good, even if we have all known about it for a while now.

The winger has suffered a knee ligament injury and will be out for the rest of the month at least. Most likely, we won’t see him until after the next international break in November.

The good news is that Bukayo Saka isn’t on the update. The winger pulled out of England u19 duty before any matches were played, but whatever the problem was, it seems it was nothing serious.

With Saka and Gabriel Martinelli available on the left, plus Smith Rowe and Lacazette returning, Arsenal should be able to get by without Nelson until he recovers.

It’s also great to hear there were no setbacks in the Reading friendly, despite Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney featuring in it.

The trio appear to be back in contention for Premier League starts now, with Monday presenting their first opportunity.
