Unai Emery has revealed Denis Suarez trained alone on Monday in a bid to speed up the process of his Arsenal adaptation.
The versatile Spanish midfielder made his debut last Sunday in the 3-1 defeat at Manchester City following his arrival from Barcelona on the penultimate day of the January transfer window.
Suarez was introduced with 25 minutes remaining and understandably looked well off the pace as his new side were convincingly beaten, failing to register a shot on target during an insipid second half performance.
Emery gave his first team squad the day off at the start of the week but confirmed Suarez was at the club’s Colney base working with his assistant coaches.
Arsenal got their top four bid back on track on Saturday at struggling Huddersfield who nearly earned a point at the Emirates last month before Lucas Torreira’s late acrobatic volley earned a valuable three points.
