Deal Done: Arsenal Close To Deal For Midfielder, He’s Passed His Medical

According to reports making the round, Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry has left Arsenal for German side Werder Bremen on a four-year contract for an initial fee of €5 million, according to Bild..

Gnabry, made 52 youth appearances for Arsenal since joining us from Stuggart in 2011.

The German international was impressive for his national team in the Rio Olympic games, helping his team claim the Silver medal.

The 21-year-old midfielder passed his medical at the Bundesliga club and reports further claimed he will be unveiled at 2.30pm with his new side.

However, there have not been any official statement in regards to this deal  with the Daily Star suggesting the deal is a season-long loan deal and ESPN suggesting he has signed a four year deal.

Gnabry’s Arsenal contract is due to expire at the end of the season and Arsene Wenger had said he wanted to prolong the deal.

“I want to keep Serge Gnabry, and to extend his contract,” Wenger said at a news conference on Friday. “Because I think we stood by him for a long time.”
