Arsenal are interested in Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar as they look to replace Aaron Ramsey who will be joining Juventus in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Ramsey recently signed an agreement with Juventus which will see him join the Italian side in the summer for free, on a 400k a week wage, ending his 11-year stay at Arsenal.
The Gunners have been preparing for his departure since they withdrew their contract renewal offer late last year, and have turned their attention to Lyon for midfielder Houssem Aouar.
The 21-year-old has been very impressive for Lyon since breaking into the first team two years ago and has attracted scouts from top sides in Europe.
The midfielder who has been likened to Philippe Coutinho plays in central midfield or in the No 10 position as well as on the left side of midfield.
He possesses a high energy engine with good technique on the ball which is similar to what Ramsey brings to the play.
He turned down Liverpool as a youth player before signing his first professional contract with Lyon and the Reds have continued to monitor him.
The likes of Chelsea, Barcelona and have also scouted him over the past 18 months, but the Blues signed Christian Pulisic in January while Barcelona have signed Kevin-Prince Boateng and Frenkie De Jong in January.
This potentially clears the path for the Gunners who could also be looking to replace Mesut Ozil if they sell the German playmaker to Inter Milan in the summer.
