Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has basically confirmed two more Arsenal stars will be out for the home clash against League Champions Manchester City.
The Premier League title holders, City, arrive London this Sunday to take on Emery’s Gunners as both team look to kick-off their 2018/19 season season – in what promises to be a cracking fixture filled with uncertainties.
Ahead of the game, Emery himself confirmed two Arsenal youngsters Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah who impressed in pre-season will be out of the clash.
The boss also seemed to suggest he hadn’t even decided on the final 18 for his match-day squad on Friday, let alone the starting eleven. He told his press conference:
“Only two young players are going today, to play tomorrow with the under-23s against Manchester City away.”
“They are Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah. The others, they are with us and tomorrow we decide the group for going to the hotel and also the first 11 and the first 18 players.”
