Reiss Nelson became the fourth Arsenal youngster to directly contribute to a goal for the England youth teams on Friday, scoring for the England u21s.

Arsenal have a couple of their centre-forward academy products injured at the moment, with Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah sidelined. As a result, you might expect a quieter international break in front of goal, but it hasn’t panned out that way so far.

Bukayo Saka assisted a goal for the England u19s on Wednesday, before Sam Greenwood scored for the u18s and Emile Smith Rowe provided both a goal and an assist for the u20s.

Reiss Nelson then featured for the u21s against Albania on Friday, coming off the bench for the final 26 minutes. He scored a nice goal to secure the result at 3-0, picking up the ball in the box and beating a defender before finishing high into the net with his left.

There was some criticism (mostly from Manchester United fans) about Nelson’s decision not to play Mason Greenwood in earlier in the move.

After Greenwood missed a couple of great chances in the match you can understand the Arsenal winger’s hesitance, and he made up for it in the end anyway.
