Arsenal are being linked with Thomas Lemar again.

The French midfielder recently returned from injury and reports linking him with a move to Arsenal have resumed.

Lemar has been linked with a move to the Emirates since last summer but those reports died down when he suffered an shoulder injury last month.

Now that he’s back, it’s normal service resumed and French publication RMC are the first to jump on the bandwagon.

According to the report via the Daily Cannon, Arsenal are ‘motivated’ to sign Lemar.

The report claims the Gunners plan to return for the winger in January, despite Wenger already ruling out a major deal in the winter transfer window.

It’s no secret that Arsenal were willing to pay £92m for Lemar on transfer deadline day, a move many classified as a desperate one which to some extent I can agree with. However, it would be out of place to think we will be so desperate to sign him in January, knowing Monaco would be more reluctant to lose him in the middle of the season.

I really do not see the possibility of a January move happening. Whether we’ll return for Lemar after last summer’s failed attempt is a big question. If we do, then I don’t see it happening next month, maybe at the end of the season.
