Arsenal confirm TWO massive injury blow ahead of 1st League clash vs Man City

Arsenal have confirmed and announce a double injury blow ahead of their weekend clash against Serie A side Lazio and subsequently ahead of the new season.

The Gunners continue their pre-season matches with a trip to Sweden to take on the Italian side and have confirmed the squad will be without two of their first team stars in Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey.

Ahead of the match in Stockholm against Lazio on Saturday, Arsenal have confirmed the latest team news update from the Gunners’ medical team.

A statement on Arsenal website read on reports on Ramsey’s injury and subsequent absence from the squad to face the Serie A side: “Ramsey Developed tightness in his right calf. Continues to be assessed. Aiming to train next week.”

On Kolasinac, the statement added: “He Sustained an injury to his left knee. Will be out for 8-10 weeks.”

This double injury to the squad will come as a huge concern for new coach Unai Emery, who prepares to take on current Premier League title holders Manchester City in his first league match as Arsenal manager.

Kolasinac started the match against Chelsea in the International Champion Cup but was subbed of due to an injury.

Ramsey on the other hand was pulled out of the team sheet during the build up to the clash against Chelsea in Dublin.
