Arsenal agree to sell Ramsey and Welbeck to make way for this fantastic replacement

Arsenal have entered a new era under Unai Emery and Sven Mislintat and the expected squad reshaping has begun.

A number of less important players were allowed to leave during the summer, and a number of more important ones will be allowed to leave this season, and one of those expected to leave this season is Danny Welbeck.

The striker’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and there have been rumors linking him with a January move to Crystal Palace, with the Guardian writing;

Crystal Palace are set to be active in the January transfer market and fancy Danny Welbeck for £10m to solve their Christian Benteke-shaped goalscoring problem. Arsenal are willing to cash in as ‘Dat Guy Welbz’ is out of contract in the summer and they are already set to lose out on a transfer fee for Aaron Ramsey, set to join up with Ivan Gazidis at Milan.”

While some might be worried at the prospect of losing the England international, one can’t fail to notice that another much younger player on Arsenal’s books is lighting up the Bundesliga at the moment.

Reiss Nelson has been in impeccable form this season on loan at Hoffenheim, scoring 5 goals in just six league appearances, including a goal in each of his first two appearances for the club.

BBC recent reported that; “The 18-year-old has scored five goals in six league appearances for Hoffenheim, bagging his first just 14 minutes into his debut.

Only one other foreign teenager has ever scored more goals in a Bundesliga season than Nelson, and that was Ousmane Dembele who’s six goals in 2016-17 for Borussia Dortmund earned him a £96.8m move to Barcelona.”

The youngster has proven himself so far, and with neither Welbeck no Ramsey regular starters under Emery, it’ll be good business to sell both of them in January and recall Nelson to cover for their departure, as Nelson would immediately replace Welbeck on the flanks, allowing Henriik Mhktaryan replace Ramsey in his preferred central position in midfield.
