Another Club Agree to Sign Nketiah Immediately Arsenal Recall Him From Leeds

Bristol City will move for Eddie Nketiah if they believe Arsenal might recall him from Leeds United, but no such talks have taken place between the player and his parent club just yet.

According to Football.London, sources close to Eddie Nketiah have informed them there haven’t been any discussions between Nketiah, Leeds and Arsenal over a mid-season recall, and there probably won’t be until after the November international break.

Arsenal loan manager Ben Knapper is keeping a close eye on the situation, as are Bristol City. Bristol wanted to sign the player in the summer, and they’ll go back in for him if the Gunners are considering a recall from Leeds in January.

To explain why that might happen, we just need to look at Nketiah’s game time so far. The striker made two starts and scored two goals in the League Cup, but Leeds were eliminated in the second round on penalties.

In the league, he’s yet to start a single game. The Arsenal 20-year-old has scored a couple of goals and won a penalty, but all in substitute appearances.

Patrick Bamford has been given the nod ahead of Nketiah on every single occasion this season, despite being just nine days away from a full two months without a goal.

You’d think Nketiah would be getting just as much of a chance at Arsenal right now, particularly with Alexandre Lacazette out injured.

If things don’t change before January, the Gunners should be looking at whether they need to take action.
