Cengiz Under’s agent has revealed that Bayern Munich are interested in making a move for the Turkish winger, according to Calciomercato.
The 22-year-old has been in very impressive form for AS Roma this season with a contribution of two goals and four assists in his eight appearances in all competitions.
Under has been linked with an exit from Rome for a while, with Arsenal being one of the potential destinations. Manchester City came close to signing him during the summer but reportedly failed with a bid.
Bayern are now said to be preparing a €60.5 million (£55m) bid for the left footed winger as they look to secure a long-term replacement for Arjen Robben.
Under has revealed however, that he is not interested in leaving Roma and would prefer to move to the Premier league or La Liga if he decides to leave the Italian capital.
Roma’s sporting director Monchi is a big factor in the Turkish international’s commitment to the club as the player himself revealed in an interview.
“I was convinced after we heard Monchi’s plan. Monchi explained they were making big changes.
“He made it clear that he wanted me as a player for the first-team squad, not as a future prospect. He valued me as a footballer in my own right now, as a rising star with potential.”
Since joining Roma last year, he has gone on to become a key member of the squad and has established himself as a star name in Italy.
