22-year old defender set for disappointing January exit after failing to secure new Arsenal deal

Arsenal News HQ brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the World.

The January transfer window is now open, sparking plenty of talk about who Arsenal could sign this month, but there are also suggestions that one or two might be on the way out.

Football.London put together a report on Arsenal’s expected transfer activity this month, and they mentioned some stars who could depart permanently in January. Let’s have a look at one of them:

  • Cohen Bramall
  • Age: 22
  • Contract Until: 2019
  • Position: Left-Back
  • Estimated Transfer Value: £225k

Cohen Bramall’s contract expires at the end of the season, and Football.London call him the most notable young player who could be moved on this month.

Coming up from non-league Hednesford Town to Arsenal, Bramall is still yet to make a senior appearance for the side.

Another who struggled with injury problems earlier in the campaign, Bramall has made seven appearances for the u23s and the u21s this season.

He’s looked bright at times, particularly in the Checkatrade Trophy win over Forest Green Rovers.

However, it hasn’t been enough to earn him a call-up to the senior squad, even with all of Arsenal’s left-back injuries.

It seems like it’s only a matter of time before he leaves the club now, but hopefully still at a club that would mark a step up from Hednesford Town.
