Everyone at Arsenal have made Jan Oblak a priority signing for next summer, according to recent reports.

Arsenal are in need of reinforcements at the back and signing a goalkeeper is on top of Wenger’s to do list.

Oblak has been linked with the club in recent weeks and he is gradually becoming the club’s unanimous target.

Last week we covered a report that Wenger wants the Atletico Madrid shot stopper to replace Petr Cech, who has been unconvincing this season.

And now, according to a report in the Daily Cannon, Arsenal’s new head of football relations Raul Sanllehi has made Oblak his priority target for the summer.

Arsenal want a top goalkeeper to take over from Cech and Oblak fits perfectly into that class but signing him won’t be easy.

First, he has a lot of admirers amongst top European teams and it is almost certain that Arsenal would face serious competition for his signature.

Again, he has a release clause of £89m in his contract at Atletico and with the Spanish giants reluctant to lose him, the would insist the release clause be met and that could be a stumbling block.

Following Arsenal’s willingness to spend big these days, paying that much for Oblack isn’t impossible but it would smash our club record transfer fee.

Should Arsenal pay the clause, it would be the third time in a row Arsenal are smashing its transfer record, which I doubt would happen.
