Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has refuted claims that he is seeking a move away from the North London club.
Since joining Arsenal in 2011, the Costa Rican has been on loan spells to Ligue 1, La Liga and the most recent being the Super League in Greece. However, after a successful spell with Olympiacos and a decent display at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the club chose to retain him.
Three months into the season and things are starting to look bleak for the South American. He has found first-team chances hard to come by and it was only a matter of time before rumours of his unceremonious departure started circulating.
Italian outfits Inter Milan and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing the 22-year old.
Despite making just 2 Premier League appearances summing up to 37 minutes of game time for The Gunners, Campbell posted a video on his official website denying the claims.
“Obviously, yes, I would like to be playing, but that’s something that has to be earned day by day. I have to keep training and waiting for the opportunity, I know it’s a very competitive team.”
He also added that:
“Arsenal is one of the best teams in the world where there are many important players. I have to be patient, keep training and I know my chance will arrive and I’ll have to take advantage of it when it comes.”
