Inter Milan have reportedly issued young goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, an ultimatum as they try to secure his signature ahead of a number of clubs, including Arsenal.

Just under a week ago it was reported that Arsenal were the biggest threat to Inter’s desire to sign the teenage Ukrainian and they have now detailed a proposal that would see the 19-year-old head to Bologna on loan for two seasons before returning to the San Siro.

Part of their problem is their unwillingness to use up a non-EU slot for the player, apparently.

Inter have reportedly got a ‘deal in principle’ agreed for the player that would see them pay €6m but La Gazetta dello Sport claim that the player is pushing to close the deal in the next few days or he will start talking with other clubs.

Lunin also wants a faster promotion into the Inter first team, meaning the Italians are having to address the non-EU problem. Inter, for their part, believe that no other top team in Europe will be able to offer Lunin this sort of route into the first team.

Over the space of the last six days, Napoli have also emerged as contenders for the player’s signature but Arsenal’s interest is still reported as ‘strong’.

Lunin currently plays for Zorya Luhansk after moving there last summer from Dnipro for an unknown amount.

His contract runs until the end of next season. The keeper received his first cap for Ukraine during the most recent international break.

A very Arsenal-friendly price of €6m has been mentioned since the club were first linked with him.

A native of Krasnograd, Lunin played for Metalist Kharkiv before moving to Dnipro where he made his way through the youth ranks.

Financial problems forced them to sell and Lunin sealed a move to Zorya. He was 17-and-a-half when he made his debut for Dnipro.

He has 29 appearances for his new team this season, keeping 10 cleansheets and conceding 41 goals.
