The Gunners have been linked with an array of star players this summer with Danny Welbeck, Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista out injured Wenger has revealed he will sign a defender to help bolster the team.
Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol revealed that Arsenal are finally closing in on the 24-year-old German defender and the Gunners have offered a bid of £28m. ($36m).
This news will come as a big relief to fans who have been skeptical about Wenger’s transfer decision of not signing players to help strengthen the team.
