Sanchez refused new contract because he’s angry over Wenger’s huge mistake in 2015

Arsenal News HQ brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are keen on avoiding a repeat of Arsene Wenger’s 2015 summer business disaster and want to know the boss’ transfer plans before committing their futures to the club.

The attacking duo are entering the final 12 months of their current contracts and have yet to put pen to paper on new deals at the Emirates.

The Evening Standard claim Sanchez was unhappy with Arsenal’s business in the summer of 2015, when Petr Cech was their only signing, and is seeking assurances over their recruitment strategy.

It’s also believed that both Sanchez and Ozil recently sat down with Arsene Wenger, and will wait to see the Frenchman’s summer dealings.

Are Sanchez and Ozil right to question Arsenal transfer dealings or perhaps this is just an excuse to leave the Emirates?

Gooners, please share with us your thoughts and opinion.

  1. wenger should at least give us a top quality striker who will help sanchez reduce the load on his head, i believe we also need a great midfield who can help xhaka & ramsey also make sure sanchez & oozil stay

  2. wenger should get spend the money, will like both arsenal power house to stay, let wenger bring out the money and buy players that will help the club too.

  3. That wasn’t a good year Wenger needs to fix up

  4. Of course they are absolutely right in questioning Le Prof. Premier sports professionals have a very short career and every professional wants to win and cannot allow Le Prof to ruin their prime years. Gooners should thank Sanchez and Ozil if they are waiting to see Arsène’s transfer dealings.

  5. Within the club Wenger has been notorious for agonising for ages, unable to make a decision … until it is too late. The £87m offer right now is to show them and us that he means business but it is a safe offer which he knows will not be accepted ! If the club now insists the Directors handle the financial aspects of transfers (and NOT Wenger) we might get somewhere.

  6. HE SHOULDNT BUY PLAYERS ON THE LAST MINUTE WE NEED THEM TO COME ARLY THEY GET USED TO EACH OTHER

  7. YAH YAH THEY R WRIGHT WE NEED TO WIN TROPHIS CHECK THE WAY EVERY ONE WAS HAPPY WHEN WE HAD WON JUST FA IMAGINE IF WE MOVE OUT WITH PL OR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
