Real Madrid are eyeing up a £30m bid for Alexis Sanchez in January.
Sanchez has continuously been linked with a move away from the Emirates.
Despite Wenger ruling out the possibility of selling the winger in January, reports haven’t stopped linking him with an exit.
Manchester City have long been touted as favorites for his signature.
The Etihad club came close to signing Sanchez in the summer, only to see their £60m bid rejected after Arsenal couldn’t sign a replacement. They have reportedly continued to keep tabs on the Chilean’s situation, with the hope of signing him for free in the summer.
But Don Balon via CalcioMercato are claiming Madrid will rival City for Sanchez’s signature.
The report says Madrid is prepared to table a €30m for the Chilean in January.
Should Arsenal show any intention to sell, it could spark a bidding war between Madrid, City and even PSG.
Arsenal knows it faces the prospect of losing Sanchez for nothing in the summer and will have to consider any January move.
However, it does seem like Wenger is prepared to keep them until their contract expires. Although as a fan, I would like Arsenal to keep the Chilean but the cost of losing him for nothing and signing a replacement could be a lot of burden.
