Newcastle and West Ham have joined the race to sign Theo Walcott, according to reports.
Walcott is being linked with a move away from the Emirates and a host of Premier League clubs are believed to be interested in his services.
The winger hasn’t played as much as he would love this season and he is desperate to play regularly.
According to a report in the Daily Cannon, Southampton lead the race to sign the winger.
Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are showing serious interest as well.
Everton may drop their interest in Walcott, after signing Besiktas Tosun on Saturday.
West Ham boss David Moyes is in the market for reinforcements and wants to add pace to his attack.
Newcastle are the latest to join the race for his signature but it is unlikely that Walcott will want to join them over more established Premier League teams like Southampton and West Ham.
Whether Arsenal will be tempted to sell is another thing. Southampton are only interested in a loan deal which may not be good enough to tempt the Gunners.
Ideally, Wenger would want to keep every member of the squad until the end of the season but a couple of fringe players may be allowed to leave if a good bid comes in Walcott could be one of them.
