Ex-football manager Giovanni Galeone has backed Massimiliano Allegri to be a success at the Emirates.
The Juventus boss is reportedly top of Arsenal’s wish list to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and his manager when he was a player at Pescara has backed him for the Gunners job.
”The merry cycle at Juventus is over, I hope his future is in the Premier League after winning another league title (with Juventus),” Galeone said.
”I think his cycle in Turin is finished. Arsenal could be the right challenge for him, for his own good, succeeding Wenger in a team that has not won for a long time.
“Tottenham or Liverpool would be a good job for him, England would be a very attractive target for Allegri’s career or maybe the (Itailian) national job.”
Allegri has helped Juventus to two Serie A titles and one Champions League final appearance in the space of two years, so he definitely has the pedigree to manage a top club like Arsenal.
Wenger’s contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season and the boss would wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future.
The French man has suffered criticism from some Gooners for his failure to lead us to the league title in the last twelve years and reports claim should the fans turn against him this season if he doesn’t deliver the title, he could step down.
Although Wenger is expected to stay, in the event that the unlikely situation happens, Allegri will be a good replacement for the French man. I think.
