Manchester United are leading Arsenal in the race to sign Paris Saint Germain’s Lucas Moura.
The Gunners were linked with Moura before the start of the transfer window but it is Manchester United who are closer to signing him.
The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order at the Parc de Princes and could be allowed to leave the club so they can balance their financial books.
PSG spent £196m on Neymar last summer and will spend in excess of £150m to sign Kylian Mbappe permanently next summer, so they would have to balance their books.
It’s long been mooted that Moura is one of those that PSG are open to selling and Arsenal have been subsequently linked with him.
But according to a report in the Daily Cannon, it is Manchester United who may end up signing him.
Manchester United are showing the most concrete interest in the winger at the moment and the player is now keen to link up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Arsenal want to sign a new winger and that’s the reason for the reported interest in Moura. However, it seems Wenger has settled for his compatriot Malcom. Arsenal recently stepped up negotiations to sign Malcom, which apparently ends interest in Moura.
Personally, I think moving for Malcom makes more sense than Moura. First the former plays on the left side of the attack, just like Alexis and has a similar playing style to the Chilean. Also Malcom is a lot younger than the PSG man and has all it takes to fulfill his potential with us.
