Alexis Sanchez has agreed personal terms with Manchester United, according to reports.
Although, the deal hasn’t been finalized yet, it is believed that it is just minor details left to get the deal over the line.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to be part of the deal but the Armenia international and his agent are yet to sort our personal terms with Arsenal and are demanding a compensation fee from United.
However, that hasn’t stopped Alexis deal from progress, as Manchester United could decide to complete the deal without including Mkhitaryan.
According to the Telegraph, Sanchez has agreed a four and a half year deal with Manchester United, which will see him earn £14m per season after tax.
The total deal, which will include transfer fee, agent fee, wages and signing on fee is expected to reach £60m.
City and Chelsea were also linked with the Chilean but United have blown their rivals out of the race with their financial package.
Sanchez was expected to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City but the Chilean’s head was turned by United’s offer. City refused to match their rivals while Chelsea refused to spend big on a player with no resale value.
I believe Arsenal has gotten a the better of the whole saga, considering Sanchez has just six months left in his contract.
Again he is 30 and considering he’s been playing for majority of the last four years, there are fears that he could break down early, getting such money for him is a big boost as it will enable us invest in a long-term replacement.
