Nigeria striker Henry Onyekuru is set to become Arsenal’s second signing after Sead Kolasinac, according to reports.
Last week, reports claimed the Gunners were in advanced talks with KAS Eupen over the transfer of the striker and it appears negotiations have moved on swiftly and are set to be completed in the coming days.
According to reports in Nigeria, Arsenal have now agreed an €8m fee with the player’s club. A source told Soccer Nigeria [via The Daily Cannon] that all formalities have been agreed and all that is left is for the deal to be announced.
“Henry (Onyekuru) is close to becoming a Gunner, the transfer fee has been agreed and his weekly wages and other personal terms have been agreed,” the source said.
The 19 year old has been in superb form this season, scoring 25 goals throughout the course of the campaign, claiming the top scorer award in the process. This led to interest from a host of English clubs but it is Arsenal who have won the race for his services.
Onyekuru featured as a winger during the season, which makes his goal tally even more impressive as it requires special quality for a player to score such number of goals from the wing.
Arsenal would be the best place for him to nurture his potential and them become a top footballer.
