Juventus are on the verge of offering Jack Wilshere a contract as they step up plans to sign the midfielder on a free transfer, according to the Daily Mail.
Wilshere’s contract expires later this month and he rejected the contract extension offered by Arsenal as they were offering a significant cut on his salary.
The Gunners have now offered him a new deal which still involves a pay cut, but they are more optimistic he will sign after he spoke with the new manager Emery Unai who wants him at the club.
Juventus have been keeping tabs on the situation and are set to take advantage of the uncertainty to offer him a contract and take him to Italy.
The Gunners signed Swiss right back Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer, but they might now lose their midfielder to the Turin club.
The Old lady are also looking to snap up Emre Can from Liverpool after the English side announced they would release him at the end of his contract after he turned down a new offer. And they could pair him with Wilshere in midfield.
