Club reportedly agree to sell star attacker to Arsenal for £40m

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are set battle for the services of Genoa youngster Pietro Pellegri, according to reports.

The 17 year old striker broke into Genoa’s first team last season and has continued his fine form this term.

A host of Premier League clubs have been impressed with Pellegri’s performance since he came onto the scene and are now plotting a move for his services.

Genoa have now placed a £40m price tag on Pellegri due to the number of clubs circling around him

According to Football.London, Manchester United were the first club to show interest in the young forward, spotting him first over a year ago.

Chelsea are now  believed to be watching the teenager with keen interest but could be put off by the news that Genoa president Enrico Preziozi will only consider a sale if his valuation is met.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Conte is a big fan of the midfielder and would love to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Guardiola is also keen on the youngster and would rival Chelsea and co for hia signature.

The Blues have taking special interest in young players and then use the loan system to develop them. More than three dozens of players on loan from Chelsea.

 The club signs players in their teens and then send them out on loan to continue their development. While Most of them are later sold for a profit, majority of them are eventually reintegrated into the first team.
