Despite completing the signing of Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding, Asano Takuma and Kelechi Nwakali, reports claim Arsenal are still interested in making two more signings before their season opener on Sunday against Liverpool.
The Gunners have been linked with an array of star players this summer with Danny Welbeck, Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista out injured. Wenger is prepared to sign a defender before our opening fixture, according to reports.
However, Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Valencia star Shkodran Mustafi and West Brom defender Jonny Evans with reports claiming a deal could be announced for either of them this week.
London Evening Standard reporter James Benge revealed on his personal twitter handle that the Gunners are working round the clock for a new player before Sunday’s game.

And also BBC reporter David Ornstein and Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol have all suggested that Arsenal are finally approaching Valencia over a deal for the 24-year-old German defender.
This news will come as a big relief to fans who have been skeptical about Wenger’s transfer decision of not signing players to help strengthen the team.
Arsenal negotiations to sign Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi are ongoing. Will cost about £30m
