West Brom are interested in signing Mathieu Debuchy, according to reports.
The French man has been used sparingly this season and could be allowed to leave for a club where he would play more. Debuchy’s had a troubled couple of seasons at the Emirates and will be keen to put an end to what has been an uneventful spell.
L’Equipe via the Birmingham Mail claim West Brom is prepared to offer the defender a way out of the Emirates.
The report says Debuchy who wants to be on the pitch regularly will be open to a move to the Hawthorns.
Debuchy is yet to make a league appearance for Arsenal this season, although he has featured four times in the Europa League and two times in the Carabao cup but that hasn’t been enough to convince a player who didn’t feature throughout last season.
The defender has 18 months left in his contract and wants to force his way back into the French team. He knows the only way of getting back into the Les Blues team is to be playing regularly.
Arsenal won’t hold him back should a suitable offer comes in. Although he’s done well the times he’s been on the pitch this season, he doesn’t seem to be on Wenger’s long-term plans.
