Arsene Wenger will be without the injured Olivier Grioud for the trip to Turf Moor but Francis Coquelin has shown rapid improvement with his knee injury and may yet return to contention. However, Granit Xhaka is expected to start alongside Santi Cazorla in the double-pivot with Coquelin unlikely to be risked before the international break.
Alexis Sanchez looks set to operate as the central striker once again in Giroud’s absence, with Theo Walcott (right), Mesut Ozil (number ten) and Alex Iwobi (left) forming the attacking midfield trio in the 4-2-3-1 formation.
The likes of Lucas Perez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may only come into contention should Wenger look to rotate his attacking options.
The settled back four of Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal looks set to remain unchanged, with Kieran Gibbs and Gabriel providing cover. Per Mertesacker, Carl Jenkinson, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck remain sidelined.
