Arsenal target Morata has huge bust up with Ancelotti

45168458645Arsenal have been given hope of reigniting their interest in Alvaro Morata after he reportedly had a blazing row with Carlo Ancelotti in the dressing room, according to reports in Spanish publication Sport.

The 21 year old has made the step up to the Madrid first team squad this season, but he’s finding it difficult to oust Karim Benzema from the starting eleven, and has largely been used as a substitute so far this campaign.

Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Morata this transfer window, but any hopes of signing appeared to have been dashed after he insisted he was happy at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The report states that that the young striker and his manager at Real Madrid had a heated confrontation in the team dressing room and had to be split up by Cristiano Ronaldo. It reportedly started as Morata feels he should be getting more minutes but Ancelotti wants him to go out on loan and the argument was so fierce that Sport say they were screaming at each other.

He is quick, strong and has a killer instinct in front of goal and his physical attributes make him the perfect understudy to Giroud. He has the ability to get goals from the bench would be very welcome at Arsenal and has also proved to be lethal in front of goal at youth level and whatever first team chances he’s had with Real Madrid.

The Gunners may now see a chance to exploit after the Spaniard let his displeasure at not getting more game time get the better of him and spark the bust up. Arsene Wenger is on the look out for a striker as Olivier Giroud is the only viable forward at Arsenal, as there are doubts over back up strikers Lukas Podolski and Nicklas Bendtner being able to fill in sufficiently.

He might not make a big time impact on the title race this season but has the talents to become one of the best strikers in the world and I think he will be a great addition to the Gunners.

Should we sign Morata?
