Arsenal legend, Patrick Vieira is unhappy with the Gunners board after holding talks with the club chiefs about the possibility of replacing former manager Arsene Wenger, according to the Metro.
According to reports, the French man declared his disappointment with the Gunners chiefs after a meeting with them to gauge his interest.
He refers to the approach and views the talks as just a ‘token gesture’ from the North London club.
Other managers in the race to take over from Arsenal include Unai Emery of PSG and Massimiliano Allegri of Juventus, who are linked with the Gunner’s job in various degrees.
Vieira’s colleague at Manchester City Mikel Arteta (who also captained Arsenal during his playing days) is also in the race to succeed Arsene Wenger.
He is believed to have completed his interview process with Arsenal’s board and has agreed verbally to become Wenger’s successor.
The 36-year-old who is presently Manchester City assistant manager has been declared top favourite to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.
While Patrick Vieira is also a target for Ligue One side Nantes, who are looking to sack their current manager Claudio Ranieri.
