Arsenal are planning to make a move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.
The French winger arrived at the Camp Nou from Borrussia Dortmund last summer but has struggled with injuries and form.
After costing the Spanish giants around £135m, Dembele has failed to live up to expectations and this has led to reports linking him with a move away from the club.
Coutinho’s arrival has forced Dembele down the pecking order at Barcelona and the Spaniard’s interest in Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Greizmann is set to further throw the former Dortmund’s man future into doubt.
And Don Balon via the Daily Star reckons Arsenal would try to sign Dembele if he becomes available.
The report claims Aubameyang is desperate to be reunited with Dembele and now Wenger is considering making a move for the Barcelona man. Wenger reportedly wants to turn Dembele into the next Thierry Henry and make him a key player in an already exciting attack.
Arsenal being linked with Dembele is a bit unreasonable considering it is barely six months Barcelona signed him.
Again players with his kind of potential, it would be silly if Barcelona give up on him so quickly.
Another reason why this move isn’t happening is because Don Balon claim Arsenal are only willing to table £53m, less than half Barcelona spent last summer.
If this is actually the case then it’s not happening.
